I found the mechanics totally cool, its visuals are also amazing! very differentiated
I absolutely love the look and vibe of this game. It has a really cool mechanic. I got stuck at the guy on the horse though. None of the shots would hit him. I got stuck twice.
I love the artwork, and the music is honestly goated. the drums as sfx felt really good too. I think the gameplay was a bit tough at times, there were a few moments where I wanted to jump up and grab some projectiles but when I jumped I would grab a few and then float too high and take some unwanted belly shots. I think adding different levels of jump height would help the player feel more in control.
You nailed the vibe you were going for, I was smiling at how goofy and cute it was the entire time I was playing. Grats on your submission!
I loved the hand-drawn artwork and character sprites! The idea of splitting up your hitbox into three separate mechanics was really cool to me. As for the bouncing mechanic, it took me a while to get it because it was lacking a little bit of feedback, but once I got the hang of it it was real fun bouncing on top the bullets, and the input buffering before the pressing space bar on top of the bullet was definitely a nice game-feel touch.

Player feedback is definitely an area for improvement from this build. We originally had more feedback by varying the animation and adding little "pow" cloud effects. Also I intended the pitch of the jump sound to go up a little on consecutive bounces to communicate that you're going higher and increasing the score modifier. Unfortunately it turned out not looking quite right and we didn't quite have time to redo them. This is something we'll definitely be working on correcting in later versions!
