This game was fantastic! I love the art style and the music/sounds so much. It's nice and somber without being hard to see. The gameplay is very solid as well, though it is a little sad there's not much variety in enemies, nor much to do after beating the boss other than racking up a high score.
The boss was easily my favourite part of the game, though! I was a little confused on how it appeared at first, but otherwise I had a lot of fun. It's very challenging, but not unfair.
What a charming game. I agree with conradoclark that the somber mood is very nice. I think it felt really good. Reminded me a little bit of a game called Realm Of The Mad God.
I think it would be good if you could scroll-wheel to zoom in and out a bit.
I dig the somber mood of this game. The boss appearance is really well done, and the game is fun to play. Good job!
The atmosphere in this game is spot on, the sprites are cute and consistent, and the map layout works fine. The boss was badass, but I agree with billbobphil's comment about the camera zoom. The overall feel is good, but some more juice wouldn't hurt the game :)
We'd really appreciate if you had time to rate our entry as well! :)
Visuals and sound were both fantastic. Didn't manage to defeat the boss, but it felt like a good challenge - personally, I feel like the camera could have zoomed out a bit during the boss fight, it was really hard to see the bullets coming before it was too late. Overall, this is excellent - nice work!
I get the feeling you're not gonna enjoy my entry...
I most certainly did
