really cool game! love the cross between 2D and 3D design, and the way the tutorial is presented is very accessible. I liked the music and the gameplay was challenging yet fun.

Very fun, loved the game play! There's steep incline in difficulty, but I like a good challenge! The check points and random level-up bonuses were also a really nice touch. They made you feel like your were making progress, even when dying multiple times between areas lol.

The things I felt could use a bit more polish were the controls, and some visibility issues while traveling the map.
For visibility - there are a few places where you can get behind the trees and lose track of where you are, it's very easy to get stuck there while dodging enemies.

And for the controls - I was finding it hard to fire, swap elements, and run at the same time. Making the element swap in particular a little faster/more accurate would go a long way for making the more fast paced sections feel more manageable!

Had a good time playing it overall though! Great job!

Cool concept for a jam, I really wish there was a boss fight to test the power of the ORBs. I got a good time playing it, congrats!

Ambitious game for the time frame - I think there is a solid gameplay loop here. Always love elemental weaknesses type gameplay. As it progressed, it was too fast for me to switch to the proper type and I found myself spamming things and running. My favorite aspect was the randomized level up bonuses as well as the responsive music that got faster at every checkpoint - added a nice sense of urgency and forward momentum.

I liked the music, and nice setting. Had problems wrapping my head around the controls though, they felt a bit clunky especially when casting spells. But good job!

We both made a form of first person shootem’up for the jam :)

It took me a while to warm up to this - I wish you would have a little Controls indicator always showing, so I am not constantly guessing in the kinda frantic combat which element counters earth again, and what that element’s button was. The projectiles are also pretty hard to hit and very slow moving at first. I understand that is to make upgrades feel more impactful, but things like +50% damage could instead have been scaled down a little to provide a more satisfying punch early game :) I liked the graphics, the music and the gameplay overall though - wish it would have a little more particle or sound effects, but I understand this is not always possible in a game jam. Good entry!

Cool game! Doesn't really match the theme, but that's fine. The music is perfect - there is both suspense and action. The background graphics are also impressive. The enemies are just running towards the player, so AI could be improved. The size of the game is 151 Mb which is quite hefty for such a simple game.

I like the mix of sprite based characters in a 3d environment. It snice to see a full decked out settings menu too. Good polish.

really cool little game, really like the rendering on the environment, every now and then character would get stuck running left or right. Game runs super smooth otherwise
