Fun game!! I included it in my Buddy Up Jam: Winter 2022 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Developer

Thank you for featuring us. 🙂

Such a fun game, you did a fantastic job all! I usually dislike being chased in games and yes, my heart rate did go up a little during but as it was so cute and the babysitter was gentle in their voice it was nothing but a pleasure to try this out ^^ Only thing I had some minor difficulties with was the camera perspective, I didn't really know where to go next since I couldn't see in front of the baby, but hey, all in all a great experience!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words. We agree that in hindsight the camera should have been moveable.

Submitted(+1)

This was a lot of fun being a little monster, great job! Only gripe was the camera fixed on the babysitter meant I didn't know where I was going. Still destroyed 100% of the city :)

Developer

Can't ask for much more than 100%. :-) Thank you for your feedback. It seems the camera should have been controlable.

This is insane! I think my only real complaint is shared by some other comments, which is the fixed camera towards the nanny. Other than that, can't say I find much else to fault. This game might be a simple one, but I have to say this has a very high production quality for a prototype. Great visuals, great 3d models, it even has its own opening and ending cutscene. Sound design is awesome, the music fits in with the mood. The fact that the whole team voice acted for their game is such a pleasant surprise, it does add to the immersion. And lastly my favorite part to mention is the moment you press start game and instantly welcomed by a wall of "WASD" blocks. It's a great little touch to show controls intuitively without telling players what to do, AND it fits the whole narrative of "children's mayhem" with those letter blocks. I find this game very well-thought, good job

Thank you so much for your comment, I am so glad that you enjoyed it! Most of our artists had asked to be supported by someone else during the jam when signing up as for a lot of us this was our first game jam and we are new to game dev. So we ended up with a lot of art and our programmer project managing us with what was doable in the time haha. We definitely got excited about the project and got carried away haha!

(+1)

No way! As a first jammer myself, I find this result rather impressive though. Sounds like you guys got a good teamwork going. Again, well done

Developer(+1)

We are so lucky to have all gotten on so well and have everyone do their part. Very grateful for this team for sure!
Thank you so much for your lovely words.

Thank you so much for the kind words.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your comments. It means a lot. :-)

Nice game, wish i could look around using mouse so i dont miss any building :D

Developer(+1)

Yeah totally agree, it's been a valuable learning experience :) Hope you managed to knock them all down anyway ^^

Developer(+1)

Yea we absolutely see that now. If we continue to work on it we will absolutely look at the camera again.

Took a moment to get that you couldn't cross the rivers, and I wished for camera controls more than a few times. Could you do a "floor is lava" sequel?

Developer

That is an excellent idea. :)
Thank you for the feedback!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for commenting, and agree about the camera controls and needed to make it clearer to the player about rivers. But oh my days, I want to make the floor is lava now hahaha!!

Submitted(+1)

Wow. The voice acting was great. Was voice acting something you guys planned to do or did it come up during development?

At first I was confused why I couldn't walk across the water then I figured oh kid imagination can't touch the water. Would be neat to have the kid say something about not touching the water.

I think in the sequel we need to see what's up with Janice.

Great job.

Developer

We did discus it the first evening, but a few days later when the first playable version was ready, people got really fired up and started piling up all sorts of stuff they wanted to do.
We really need to see what's up with Janice, don't we?! :-)
Thank you for your feedback. We're all learning so much from this jam.

Developer

Totally agree with your comment about the water. We realised later in development that it wasn't necessarily clear that you couldn't cross and talked about adding visual cues or adding a river to the corridor as a mini tutorial to force the player to cross the bridge but ran out of time. Having tot say something about it though probably would have been an easier solution 😅

Developer

Thank you so much. I'd love to get into Voice Acting so I really wanted to include it. The team were all well up for it too.

Great game!!! Loved the story

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-)

Submitted(+1)

Cute. love the story. fun artwork too!

Developer

I agree. The writers and artists did an excellent job.
Thank you for your feedback. :-)

Submitted(+1)

This is super cute! I had a lot of fun destroying all your carefull placed props :).

The only criticism I would have is that the blocks are a little heavy and it's easy to get trapped when you push over a big building, but otherwise I think it's great!

Developer

Thank you. I agree that Totzilla needs more mass or force when moving. We also discussed adding a bit of explosive force to the block collisions, but ran out of time.

Damn dude, The team has done an awesome job, I can't believe such an intriguing idea and cute art was done in just two weeks. It sure was fun felt like being a child again. The only probs I faced was it took some time (actually like 10 min) to load, also the audio of the reporter felt inaudible. Nonetheless, this is an OP game, I think your team should develop this one to a big title, am sure it would be a success. I will surely be the first to play it 😎 lol. i gave it 4 five stars and 2 four stars 👍

Developer(+1)

Oh not sure why the reporter was quiet! There is a volume slider at the start maybe it was lower than it should have been or something haha! Thank you for your comments and the childlike vibe is totally what we were going for so I am so glad that came across ^^

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. :D
It was slightly over-scoped, and required more work than any of us had planned, but I feel like it was worth it.

Loved the cute carnage

Developer

Thank you ^^ that's the vibe we were going for hahaha!

(+1)

Loved the combination of visual styles. And the storytelling.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! The narrative designers did such an amazing job!

Submitted(+2)

Super fun game and very creative idea, good job guys! :D

Developer

Ahh, so glad you liked it, thank you for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Really good game, with its own plot and idea! I especially liked the acting!

Developer

Thank you :D I'm so impressed with our cutscene voice actors, really brought the characters to life

Submitted(+2)

Such a cute game and a funny idea. I had a few laughs playing this. Looks and works really well too!

Developer(+1)

Glad to make you laugh :D we had a few laughs making it too!

Submitted(+2)

Such a super cute game! Loved the diversity as well. The physics were very fun and it felt satisfying to roam around knocking stuff over. Only issue I had was the camera felt a bit frustrating at times when I was trying to find more stuff to knock over. Great concept, script and execution!

Developer

Thank you, really great and helpful feedback! Completely understand your point about the camera, but glad it didn't detract too much from your fun :D

Submitted(+2)

this has such a wonderful aesthetic and getting to play with the physics is always a great time!

Developer(+1)

thank you! <3 who doesn't love smashing things and making a mess? XD
