The idea is fun and I did have fun trying the game. It's a bit buggy and feels a bit unfinish, but for a first jam game it's not too bad, and when it works it's really fun.
Loved the art style. Good work on that.
Interesting game. Theres a bug where you could still shoot bullets upon going to next level. The movement is also a bit awkward so you could try making it more natural (but this might just my preference).
I like the idea of getting killed to gain abilities that helps you go through the levels.
There's two things that were kinda frustrating and that I believe could be easily fixed. First in level three, the water enemy got stuck under the level so I got stuck and had to restart. Most importantly, a lot of time the player slides of platforms since your platforms have really rounded corners. I believe that the artistic direction should never be detrimental to game design, so definitely something to look for if you wish to make your game better :)
Overall nice try and nice art !
great game
That was a very cool idea. Great job.
Keep up the good work!
A pretty nice-looking game, a bit of a clunky movement, but still manageable.
I've got a bit of an advice for you, if you're making your art in Aseprite click Extrude when u export tilesets and then crop them accordingly when u import them to Unity.
This way they get extra layer of pixels that isnt showable BUT doesnt let these rips in environment to occur!
Great job overall :D
Thanks for the advice bro ✌🏻 well this was my first game jam and I'm still learning stuff so it's not that good and buggy but will do better on next jam
Yeah, growing is the most important thing!
