How does you game fit the theme?
The game is multiplayer, and if you don't have wifi there are NPCs scattered around the map to interact with.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We did not make the p5.js library. I made all the graphics from scratch for this game, and PixiePerfect01 and I wrote all the game code (excluding the library)

Love the art and the NPCs are all so cute and friendly! Fun and challenging platformer, nice job! :)

nice game, very infuriating when you fall all the way down after getting so high, but the art is good and the game is quite fun

Wow the main character had a ton of sugar or something haha he's so fast! The speed made the challenge and the challenge made it fun! Thanks for sharing your game!

Fun spin on a platformer

Nice game, minimal graphics but appreciated, the controls could be slightly improved but otherwise great job!

I can see how the game is very difficult to play. It's frustrating to play the game, especially when you lose a lot of progress. The game is fun and could've been better. I'm unsure how the code works, but I hope there can be audio to polish the game. Maybe just a jump effect sound would be better.

Another thing that could be better is the controls. The movement controls is fast, but the jump is the one I'm a little annoyed. Maybe you could've put a coyote jump and jump buffering that would feel the controls more responsive. Here's a small tutorial on how it's implemented on Unity by Jonas Tyroller. I know this is made using a different game engine, but you can understand how the game mechanic work.

Overall, good job submitting this game within a week. I like the graphics, it's small, simple, and cute. Good luck for the future games.

Nice concept. I liked the movement of the players and also meeting the NPCs

The classic "start over from scratch (almost) and keep your feelings in check"-platformer with the twist of adding multiplayer, it's not a bad idea. In fact I feel it did add a bit of motivation to continue, hoping you would run into the other player who was online and probably ahead of me.

I like it a lot (even though the genre itself may not be my cup of tea)! Since I didn't see any other player in here, I actually did feel a bit alone. The NPCs are probably meant to alleviate this a bit but their presence there didn't feel very impactful.

But honestly, in the genre, this is probably the game I've played the longest. And it was due to the fact that I was hoping to meet another player in here. so that idea in itself is super cool.
