Strange idea, but pretty good implementation. There are some camera issues though. The map could also be expanded. Overall, great game, and I'd like to see it when everything is polished.

Please rate my game too, as I'm far from the required 20 votes. Thanks!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you liked it enough to want to see an expanded map! :)

Sorry about the issues, we'll hopefully patch them once the voting period ends.

Liked your project too and left it a rating, best of luck!

I see the work and idea behind but unfortunately there are some camera issues. It is also the first game that managed to crash my browser for some reason. Curious to see what it looks like once this is fixed!

Developer

Thanks for checking it out, glad that the work we put in came across, even if there were issues.

The crash may be because we mapped controls to ctrl+W, which is the shortcut for close window. Oops! :) We'll hopefully have a patch up once the jam ends to fix all the issues.

Liked your project too and left it a rating, best of luck!

The game looks great! just for some reason the game is being displayed in the bottom right corner and is very small, but everything else works fine. The vibe of the game is really relaxing to me and i enjoy taking pictures.

All in all great game! :D

Also if you dont mind, check out my game too, i'd appreciate it a lot! :)

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed and felt the vibe we were going for.

Sorry that there were issues with our export, it plays great in the editor I swear, haha! :)

Liked your project too and left it a rating, best of luck!

I can see the hard work put in the page but the game didn't work for me but good job though.

Rated it! If possible do rate my game :)

Thanks for leaving a comment SinTex! I'm glad that the effort is recognized. It's disappointing that we weren't able to get a working build up for the jam when it plays great in the editor. Hopefully we'll fix it in a future patch.

I'll be sure to give your game a rate as well, looking forward to playing it! :)

The game didn't work for me. I saw the submarine but suddenly it cuts to a first person view and I can't look arond. Only move forwards. The music was good though!

Developer

Thanks for leaving a comment! Sorry that our build is broken, it runs great in the editor, but our HTML export didn't go so smoothly. Hopefully we can fix things in a future patch. Glad you enjoyed the music, it was a lot of fun to make!

Nice job, seems like it would be a cozy relaxing game if the cameras were working properly. Along with having nothing rendering on the main screen, my cursor was unlocked so I couldnt look around much.

Thanks for the comment :) That is an interesting issue. We’ll add it to the list of things to look into.

Game looked good but for some reason it felt like left clicks weren't being detected, game had crashed 2 times. The music is nice, the idea is good but due to those issues its hard to give a proper rating

Hey, thanks so much for taking an interest in our game and the kind words. Unfortunately, because this is the second game the two of us have ever made, we ran into a few technical issues at the very end, so your grievances are very understandable.

The "camera" was one of the last features implemented and we ran too short on time to add any feedback when it's activated, as well as not connecting it to the checklist. But if you press 'J', you can open a "journal" that will have pictures of the different types of fish that you've taken pictures of.

As for the crashes, I'm so sorry to hear that. My suspicion is that the "crashes" are actually the tab being closed from pressing CTRL+W when trying to move forward and descend at the same time. We obviously did not think through the control scheme enough for a browser game, haha :') Sorry for any inconveniences it may have caused.

I really wanted to be able to like this and give a good rating. It seems like it would be such a nice experience, and the music is lovely, and from what I can see, the art is nice. I love exploring the water and I would love to play this game! But it breaks in my browser, unfortunately :( the screen turns really small and only in the bottom right corner, everything else is blue. I still tried exploring a bit anyway and taking pictures, but it also seems not to register the LMB clicks.  Anyway it's a shame because the music is lovely, and the page looks nice, and it does look like a good game (if it didn't break.)

Thank you for the feedback! We're so disappointed that we weren't able to fully deliver in the end, but glad to hear the positive comments you can still offer us.

Believe it or not, the small screen in the bottom right corner is not the bug. The game is meant to have two different viewports, the smaller first-person screen in the corner that's meant to represent your camera, and the fullscreen third-person screen that's meant to show your submarine in the game world. For reasons unknown to us, the main viewport is not rendering any game objects in the browser. We suspect it may be a performance issue with culling.

As for the LMB, the "camera" was one of the last mechanics we implemented and we unfortunately ran out of time to add any feedback on activation, or connecting it to the checklist on screen. However, if you press 'J' (which we also forgot to mention in the controls section), your "journal" will open up, which will show the pictures you've taken of the different kinds of fish. Once you've collected all four pictures, a victory screen should appear, and as far as we can tell, these features are still working in the browser.

This was our second game the two of us have ever made and we've learned a lot. We apologize for the technical issues the game has and any inconveniences they may have caused, but we're happy to hear that people were interested in playing our game. Thank you once again for the comments :)
