How does you game fit the theme?
Players are constantly wondering if they actually saw a ghost or if they are just seeing things, wondering if the ghost is or is NOT REAL.

There is also an enemy type in the game that's sole purpose is just to screw with the player, play to find out how he does.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code and made all the assets (except a few shaders because I'm too stupid to do shader code right now) from scratch

but like half of the assets and code was taken from my previous projects.

The art and pixel vibe are so great and the player controls super nicely. The revolver sound was sorely missing in this. It was so much visual power with no audio payoff lol. I walked around the entire level before jumping into the fire to see if it did anything. The enemies were very confusing. I was not sure if I was hitting them or not or what the point really of the game was (kill them all?). I also seemed to run out of bullets? With some more work, this could be super fun.

Thank you! Noted.

Loved the artistic vision. Truly a splendor from years yonder. The atmosphere of your game just gives me the willies. and reloading one bullet at a time, only added to the tense nature of being pursued by spectral beings. I quite enjoyed my time with it. Good show old bean.

Thank you so much! :)

I really like the retro look of this game. The gameplay is interesting, but requires a bit more work. I really like the background music, but adding more sounds (like a revolver sound) would make the game feel more responsive. The revolver reloading mechanic is very cool. I think it's worth adding a crosshair because it's hard to aim without it.

Overall I really like this game! Great job!

Thank you! I intentionally didn't add a crosshair because I thought it would make the game feel more immersive but maybe I'll add some sort of option in the menu to do so. Also, the volume sliders might just be broken :P, maybe try changing them in the menu to get the revolver sounds lol, gotta fix that at some point. Thanks again!

Love the art style and animations, and the reload mechanic is cool. Maybe give a reticle or make the enemies a bit larger cuz they seem intentionally thin and hard to hit. Took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to jump in the fire to start the game.

Developer

Thank you! Realized I never told anyone how to start the game :p, I added a little message to the instructions now saying to jump in the fire but unfortunately can't edit the game right now :(
