In what way does your game fit the theme?
The sun rains asteroids down on you as you try to gather the water bottles, making for a chaotic scene. They also break blocks upon contact, which creates chaotic gameplay as the terrain will change drastically as you play.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code and all the assets were made from scratch and by myself. The only thing that wasn't mine was the font: https://www.dafont.com/early-gameboy.font

Nice little game. I really liked the backstory. Keep going! :)

I really like the backstory. I couldn't finish the level tho, the asteroids often make it impossible to finish when they destroy complete platforms. Otherwise, cute aesthetic and the sound effects are nice too :-)

That is a thirsty thirsty sun. I love a nonsensical backstory, and this  game delivers. Cute sprites.  I like this difficulty setting - I was able to feed the thirsty sun man with about a second to spare.

The story was actually funny! The sun seems like a jerk tho.

The graphics are beautiful and the sounds are fitting. Missing things are a game over screen or the basic ability to win. Although I might have just been to bad to find it...

Very fun little game, might play again.

The game aesthetic was really pleasing , really matching the GameBoy, the dialog was funny , there was just one thing that bothered me is that I got stuck at the walls when I tried to jump. But overall the game is really great : )

Amazing art! Enjoyed the game :)

Same as others,. Getting stuck on the side of the platforms sucks, but that dialogue was hilarious. Also the gameboy-like aesthetic is well done.

The dialogue man, relatable on so many levels. But ye, as others already said, getting stuck on the sides of the platforms can be annoying, but apart from that, a nice little platformer.

The dialog gets a 10/10. I got a little frustrated with getting stuck on the side of platforms, but overall fun little game.

This was awesome!! Love the style and feel and the banter with you and the sun was very cheeky and amusing! The controls were great and the timer definitely made me feel the pressure! The asteroids tearing apart the stage was a nice touch! Great job!

I enjoyed playing this game i think the best part about the game is the timer. The bad things about the game are first what the user before said about getting stuck on the walls and second thing is that in my opinion there could be more chaos i think the meteors falling isnt enough to really match the theme but overall pretty fun game!

Coincidentally, I also made a GBesque platformer! I really liked playing your game, but here's a tip: attach a PhysicsMaterial2D with no friction to your player to make it slide smoothly up and down walls instead of getting stuck on them. That would increase the quality of the gameplay significantly!
