In what way does your game fit the theme?
Both gameplay wise and story wise.
The story revolves around a monkey demon known as Kapasura, who with the help of Ahi, the god of chaos escapes a volcanic prison designed like a maze.
The gameplay is very chaotic with fireballs and bullets flying everywhere.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Except the music everything has been done by me

Thankyou so much for playing everyone, if you have commented I have made sure to play and rate your game as a thanks :D
very well done and interesting concept the end of the music looping could have been done a bit better, but overall very well done
Thankyou so much for playing, the music was not done by me but I am learning how to do music so next time I will make it on my own :D
Great game mechanic and gameplay! The music is kinda not very suit the game. The grapple gun is definitely my favorite part of the game but I think it should be more physics accurate and have it should have some kinda limit range it can hook unless, I would aim randomly at the ceiling and skip an entire floor, anyways great game! Great gorilla! Keep it up!
Also I would love to hear your thought and rating on my game if you interested, please give it a try!

Hey thanks for playing, I appreciate your advice :D
The gorilla character is definitely my highlight. Looks incredible, and the grappling hook is, surprisingly, easy to control.
The enemies and fireballs were underwhelming, and the game should definitely be faster (especially the gorilla player).
The map design was pretty solid. Overall, I enjoyed this game!
Keep on fighting. :)
I also wanted to make the gorilla faster but I made the rookie mistake of giving realism more priority than fun. My logic was that gorilla is a heavy animal so it will run slower. Thankyou for playing and rating the game. I will definitely improve the next time :D
Cool game! A bit challenging, probably because I was using a trackpad instead of a mouse so I can't grapple as freely as some, but pretty fun. Hmm, maybe add some more enemies or something to the game? It's definitely pretty barebones and doesn't have some standout mechanics. But still, as I said, pretty fun and nice presentations too. Nice work!
Hey thanks for playing the game, I had planned to make more enemies and better levels but could not finish in time. Thanks again :D
This game is really fun. Firstly the lore is quite nice, it gave me motivation to play through the game, something you don't typically see in game jam games. Secondly the grapple is soo fun to play with, I was having a blast using it. And on top of that I wasn't able to find any bugs in the game which is a feat in it's own right.
However like most good things there are a couple issues. First off be sure to add sound effects next time, it really adds to the user experience. (I know it's hard to add them in a game jam setting, I added mine to my game an hour before the deadline). Secondly be sure to invest more time into GUI's and text, but that's a normal rookie mistake.
But despite those 2 issues the game is quite good. It's very chaotic, the mechanics are top tier, its bugless, and I love the sense of humor through out the level XD
Good job
Here is my stamp of approval ✅
Thankyou so much for playing the game. I really appreciate your feedback, it really helps me as I plan to expand the game and actually make it a mini metroidvania of sorts. Thankyou again :D
cool game! very well done
Thankyou for playing it :D
Fun game but the jump is a little floatey
The music is sick and the grapple serpant/snake also looks really cool
Great game
I couldnt add a variable jump due to the time constraint.
Thankyou for playing :)
This is a fairly fun platformer. The grapple is fun to use, although crazy powerful since it seems to have unlimited reach, meaning players don't have to be very thoughtful about how to use it. I liked the character's wall cling and climb animation.
I like the intro story, but I think you're missing capitalization on some of the names.
I like the sprawling branching level in which you don't really know what path to take. However, I think the level could be improved by making the branches more clearly visible when you're nearby. In particular, if there's an opening in the ceiling to ascend through, and I'm not near a wall, make the ceiling lower so I can see the opening from the ground, because otherwise I'll likely just run past without any reason to stop and try to climb up.
Thankyou so much for your positive words. I agree that the grapple is too powerful, but I couldnt figure out how to limit its length without reworking the whole code, this is the reason why I had branching levels, so that players cant just reach the top using the snake XD. And regarding the level, I really wanted to make pathmarkers and checkpoints to indicate different routes but the ⌛ ran out. I will definitely improve next time. Thanks again for your comment and thanks for playing it :)
The general color of the game is pretty monotone but I like the character sprites and I think the visuals are pretty fitting. The grappling hook mechanic works smooth and I definitely see a lot of chaos. :)
This is the first time I am making a jam game, so I decided to stick to a colour palette with few colours and having a monotonic look. I also wanted to add more enemies to make it more chaotic but time 🏃♂️ away XD. Thankyou for playing my game and for your kind words :D
funny idea, maybe a little too dark and not really innovative.
Yeah I agree, background is not my forte so I just use a plain colour. Thanks for playing :D
