In what way does your game fit the theme?
I implemented the theme through the mechanic of scrapping other robots and adding their weapons to your own body, thus making you stronger when you use their weapons together.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all code and made all art by myself.
The sounds were sourced from another site, which is linked in the description of my game along with appropriate credit.

Loved the idea. Good use of physics. Interesting gameplay. I suggest you can always right click for melee cause at the start I thought it had a cooldown or something, but you just needed to be in range. Otherwise if the graphics get more time and work then this could be a very nice game.

Our game is sci-fi themed as well if youd like to check it out :) Good luck!

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I agree I definitely overlooked that about the melee weapon, and it wasn't as clear in the tutorial as I thought it was.

I definitely want to give the game some more polish and make it a lot better than it currently is :)

I had the same issue when I uploaded my game. If you have time, please try below.

build setting -> player setting -> player ->publishing settings -> compression format -> Gzip

Developer(+1)

Yeah that seems to be the issue people had online, unfortunately I can't fix it until the voting period is over.

Downloaded the game as the dev noted, the webGL build does not work. No biggy.

The game itself feels very rough and very harsh, the color choice is.. interesting. For some reason the robot can not move uphill once passed, making it impossible to pickup missed parts.

The scrap idea is great, would have loved to be able to place my custom parts myself, so that I could control whether or not I shoot with left or right click, same for melee. The idea has potential, but at the moment it feels  to unfinished.

Noted, thanks so much for the feedback!

I was going for a kinda rough Flash cartoon/game vibe with the graphics, and I do kind of like the color choice because of the tone I was trying to create, but I can also see how it's kind of ugly.

I wish I had more time to expand upon the game mechanics but I ran out of time before I could which is a shame. I want to try and improve on the game after the jam is finished.

If you where going for the old-school rough flash look, then that succeeded! And not ugly per se. Hey it's a game jam, we are here to learn! Keep it up.

HEADS UP: There was an unforeseen issue with the WebGL build and it does not load correctly, unfortunately I can't fix it since the deadline for submission has passed. You will need to download the Windows version if you want to play it.

THE GAME DIDNT WANT TO LOAD

Developer

Yeah it looks like it's a weird issue with the WebGL build which I didn't catch until afterwards, sorry!

There's a downloadable Windows version if you want to try that instead.
