In what way does your game fit the theme?
The mechanic "the more edges together, the stronger the polygon", as well as the enemies because they work together to take you out.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code and made all the sprites, but used royalty free assets for the audio, sfx, etc.

The main idea and concept have a lot of potential and just that got me interested to play.  The game loop kept me going and the rewards for certain waves varied up the gameplay, though I do wish they varied it a bit more.  A few finer points

  • Controls were good, firing was a bit weird.  Though that seems intended, I do feel like making it less of a delayed shot and more instant on all vertices would help.  So that would be my main thing there.
  • Varying up the gameplay a bit more on the players side depending on their shape could be interesting as well.  Different types of shapes, different speeds, different abilities maybe etc.
  • The main menu was a bit disorienting, especially since ingame it was 2D but in the main it seemed the boxes were somewhat 3D.  And the speed they move at lead to it being disorienting overall.

I'd definitely be interested to see where this mechanic could go.  Cause there's a lot of variations you could throw in if picking up lines and becoming a more complex polygon is the goal.  Multiple polygons, different abilities, pros and cons etc.

Not bad! Didn't understand why I couldn't aim at first, but when I got it I liked how it only shoots in specific directions. Could be interesting with something like enemies with shields.
