Does all the code need to be written by yourself? Can you follow a tutorial for a certain aspect. Also, do all the the sprites need to be made yourself?
No, even good or great programmers need help and/or copy the script from others. But it would be good if you don't just copy every single line in your game since that doesn't help you as a game dev at all.
