Good game, and an interesting take on the concept. I really like the idea of controlling a tower defense game with a player rather than with a mouse.
Not bad, needed some time to figure out how to play it, but did it in the end. I think it needs more tutorials. Nice work :)
The game itself is pretty fun, but I found it difficult to play without any directions or tutorial
Yeah that's a good point, especially if you haven't played a tower defence game before. There are instructions on the game page but none in the game.
If you want to play the WebGL version you can do that here https://plastic-diamond.itch.io/rd-web
Concept is really good but execution is a little bit bad. sound design is actually pretty good.
there is no instructions or UI. lighting is little weird stuff look dark most of the time.
i really want to see this game fully polished :)
good job!
The game was really cool and very simple
Nice take on the theme but unfortunately after I discovered that I wasn't punished when the enemies reach the finish like in a normal tower defense I just let them pass through, speed up 10x and farmed the coins. Also I didn't think your 2nd and 3rd tower work cause I kept lighting the platforms but nothing happen, maybe a visual count of my energy and how much the next upgrade costs would have been helpful. Didn't beat the game a 2nd time since I just assumed you just shifted the camera view to look 2D, hope I didn't miss anything.
edit: almost forgot, amazing audio design, well done
Hey thanks for playing. I know people can exploit letting enemies reach the end and I'm totally fine with it, I wanted to make it easy enough for anyone to beat without punishing them and you can play it how you want. Adding the time buttons was a late addition but I'm really glad I did it. Not sure why the second and third towers didn't work for you, I tested the game a lot and never had that problem.
It's definitely worth beating once but you didn't miss much by not playing through again, just another theme.
The towers work, but I didn't know they work until very late cause I kept giving them energy and nothing happened, that's why I said some progress bar/counter would have been nice.
