Nice job getting a full project finished, especially for a first game. That is already a big accomplishment in a game jam.
I liked the visual style at the beginning. The simple geometric aesthetic reminded me a bit of Thomas Was Alone, which gave it a clean and recognizable look. The dream concept also fits the theme nicely since dreams are naturally full of strange places.
Where I got a bit stuck was progression. After reaching the white scene the game kept restarting for me and I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do next or if that was the intended loop. Because of that I wasn’t able to move further through the experience.
The premise itself seems interesting, but a little more direction for the player would help. Some dialogue, prompts, or environmental cues explaining what the player should be doing could make the progression clearer.
Overall though, nice work getting your first project completed and submitted to the jam. Finishing a game is the hardest part.
If you get a chance during the rating period, feel free to check out our game as well. We'd love to hear what you think.
Thanks for the compliments and I wanted to say that restarting the game over and over is kind of the premise since I want the play to experience all the different types of conversations you can have with each character, but getting stuck in a loop seems quite odd to me I never ran into a glitch where that happens since at the end if you press no you restart from the first dream and if you press yes you go to the title and it ends.
Overall, thanks for playing and I'll plays yours as well.
hey there, i really like the visuals of the first and last level. i am a big fan of minimalism so these were really nice for me. also some of the dialogues are kinda funny. good job mate :D
Thanks bro! I greatly appreciate it!
For a first game, this is very good! The dialogue was pretty charming, and the environments were very nice to look at. The timer was a bit strict, but I was able to talk to everyone in two runs. Great job, and I hope you go on to make more games!
Yeah, I really chose to make it shorter since I wanted everyone to have to do multiple runs in order to try different dialogue journeys as well. But yeah, thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
fun game and a weird rabbit! cannot move anymore after the rabbit level. good music and sfx!
Oh, that is because I forgot to enable custom movement with the WASD keys, so you could only use the arrow keys.
Game was really fun. You did great with the art and i had a lot of fun talking to everyone. Especially the bush guy lmao. For a first project, this is great!
Thanks, bro, I really appreciate it!
Liked that the visual aesthetic changed from level to level.
In the last level WASD stopped working, but the arrow keys continued to work. Not sure if that's intentional or not.
Oh, that was my bad, I think I forgot to update the controller since I just used the basic ui_left and ui_right for the last level and forgot to apply my custom controller. Sorry about that, but thanks for the compliment!
