Hi, I noticed that my game submission for Brackeys Game Jam 2025.2 was marked as "disqualified," but I honestly don’t know the exact reason why.

This was my first game jam, and I was really excited to join. I might have made mistakes without realizing, but I never meant to break any rules.

If possible, I’d be very grateful if you could remove the disqualification. I promise that from now on I’ll carefully follow all the rules and be much more mindful in future jams.

Thank you so much for your understanding and for organizing this great event 🙏

Huh, really. I'm not a Mod or anything but your game seems fine from the surface and it was pretty fun as well ( i tried it)
But hey i hope They fix this issue for you. If you have the time Please consider trying my game, i faced quite a few problems on submission just like you. if it helps you can try reaching out to support@itch.io on the issue but its unlikely they'll help in time if at all since this Jam is managed by Brackeys and his Team and not anyone at itch.

Please try my Game Dude and if you Enjoy playing it be sure to Comment your experience and Rate the game:

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your support and advice. I’ll definitely try your game and leave a comment and rating. Hopefully the issue with my submission will get resolved soon!

But is there any hope that this problem will ever be solved?

Yeah definitely. Plus worse case scenario your game wont be part of the jam but you can still ask people to try your game in return for voting on theirs. all the best dude :D

Your game isn’t disqualified as it breaks the rules, but rather because you left a bunch of messages that felt AI generated and it seems like you haven’t even played those games which falls under rating manipulation rules… as not every single game has a story(e.g mine doesn’t have any story whatsoever and it’s relatively short) or graphics, so you’re telling me a bunch of squares are definitelly considered great work on the “graphics” :P) Here’s a part of the comment(s): “We played this game and we think it’s really amazing! Great work on the story, graphics, and everything 👍🎮”

You commented on games that were literally unplayable saying that you “loved the story, graphics, and everything”. It’s obvious you didn’t even try to play any of the games that you commented on. You lied about it and just commented to try and increase exposure and clicks to your own game. You tell me why you think your game was disqualified.

You rated 23 games in 15 minutes, all with the same copy-pasted comment (which says nothing specific about the game and in turn asks them to rate your game). This looks extremely suspicious and is also quite disrespectful to your fellow jammers.

Even if this isn’t related to the reason your entry was disqualified, I would suggest in the future that you take the time to play, think about, and thoughtfully review entries by your fellow jammers, as playing each others’ games, trying to learn and grow together as game devs, and truly engaging with each others’ art is the whole point of game jams.
