How does the game fit the theme?
You only have one hand, and a lot of choices about what to grab at once. Power comes for a price, and magicking up your most powerful cakes means you have to juggle everything else going on on your counter at the same time. Spin too many cake tins, and you risk them all falling down. But scrambling to save your cakes at the last moments makes shipping them off all the sweeter.
Also you can explode your own hard work with fireballs so try not to do that i guess
If you try the endless mode, let me know your highest cake counts in the comments!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Cool game, had fun. A little bit buggy but it's a jam game so no problem.
Ty for playing! If you want, could you share some of the bugs you found? I’d like to work on patching and improving what I can!
Music bugged 2 times I think and I'm not sure if that was a bug but there was 2 baker at the same time, one on the normal spot and other was a little bit under.
Great job! the game feels quite polished. If I had one remark, it would be about the tutorial.
It could be improved by following the "show, don't tell" approach.
Insane what some of you folk pull off in just one week.
Great writing, love the design of the wyvern(?). Cooking is fun. Those little ghosts were juuust a bit too persistent for my liking. But I guess its not ment to be one of those cozy cooking games.
Overall very impressed. One of the best submissions I've played so far.
You were originally supposed to be able to feed the dragon (?) either ashes or magic dust to blow up the whole screen and give you some time away from more ghosts spawning, but that didn’t end up making it in time. Thrilled you enjoyed it so much even with the difficulty ^^
Nice job, it was fun to play a bit hard to understand everything but very nice.
Maybe less text also or more granular not everything at once, like mixing gameplay and text.
Good suggestions! I could add in the different recipes a little slower, to ramp up how much you need to remember as the game goes on. Getting a balance between informative and flavor text was tough, so that should help out with that ^^
downloadable!!! whyyyy!!!!!
i’m sorryyyyyyyyyy ;A; godot doesn’t support webgl exports for c# projects in 4.0 and above!!!
Very well-made and original.
Really fun! I couldn't remember the recipes very well, but the music was really good.
this game is great, i love baking/cooking simulators and this adds a great twist onto one. also love the art, would happily play this again/a full release if thats what you are planning
Hello! I tried your game! Looks pretty fun! It would be good to see recipes of each cake on the left. But I a found bug (maybe): I got an essence from ghoul, and mixed it with flour and water wand, but cake didn't appear. Did I do something wrong? Also your UI is a bit messed up: dialogue placeholder overlaps with settings menu:
Ty for the comment! I’ll look at the dialogue box issue today, and you reminded me to include a cheat sheet on the pause menu!
For the magic cake, you still have to add sugar: I’ll double check the dialogue to make sure it says that. Mixing ingredients that don’t add up to a cake doesn’t have any feedback currently. That’s definitely something I’ll look at adding in the future! Or maybe, half-finished batters that can still accept the rest of the needed ingredients.
Fixes are in! Thank you for playing and commenting ^^
