How does the game fit the theme?
There is a Button puts the player in constant moral and strategic dilemmas. Each press offers a tempting reward — the “biscuit” — but also carries unpredictable consequences — the “risk.” Players must decide if the payoff is worth the potential cost, turning every choice into a literal risk for the biscuit. The game’s core loop of temptation and consequence perfectly captures the theme in a fun, interactive way.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

This filled me with dread. On the one hand, I want cookies, on the other hand would I trade precious memories for a cookie?
Of course I would. Risk it for the biscuit!
The writing was really good. Almost poetic. Thanks for making it!
That’s such high praise, thank you! I really like the concept of a game poem too!
This is very much a "The only way to win is not to play" kind of game, but then I wouldn't get so many cookies! I liked the concept of this :)
Yep, that’s exactly the idea I was going for. Really happy you liked it!
I like your profile picture, we have a calico cat too :D
While I think this perfectly fits the theme, I also think the riskiness of it wasn't fully realized. In the end, not a lot ended up getting sacrificed. I was totally ready for a "look what you're doing" psychological thriller kind of thing. Even if it was just text telling me what's happening. Still cool and other than that, there wasn't anything I disliked about it. Cookie physics were fun.
My art skills are pretty lacking XD and with the time constraints, I took a shortcut by using pure text narration—though it did end up making the content feel a bit light. I actually really wanted to add some illustrations or images, so not being able to do that for this Jam is a bit of a regret. Still, really glad you liked my little cookie!
Interesting concept but there is really not that much gameplay here, you are just pressing the same button. And after the lightswitch the text changed its languaged - so that is maybe the reason why I just spamed the button and didn't really have any consiquences. As I said interesting concept for this theme.
The language switch was actually a bug, haha, but also a beautiful coincidence, and the bug’s been fixed now! The game does lack some gameplay elements, so thank you for your feedback and for playing! <3
