Really cool game! I love the visuals it looks super cool. The gameplay is fun, I liked killing the dudes and watching them fight each other. I would've liked a block or dodge mechanic or something to help avoid enemy attacks. Nice work on the game, it's cool!

Thank you for your feedback! A block or dodge mechanic would actually be perfect to make it feel more 'souls-like'. We also have to improve on our enemy AI on our next game too, but we're glad you enjoyed the visuals and atmosphere!

Pretty crazy for your first game jam! I tried, but was not strong enough to fight off all the enemies. They just kept coming. Evening keeping up rage wasn't enough. I suppose I need fancier footwork.

Also, I notice Venn36 isn't tagged as a developer. If you go in to edit your game page, click on more in the tab, go to admin. You can add them as an admin to the page, then there's a small box to mark them as a dev/contributor.

Besides all that, I wanted to say congrats to you two on submitting your first game jam. That is an awesome achievement that you should be proud of <3 

As far as the game goes, it kinda kicked my ass!
I was able to find a flow and keep my rage going on my third or so attempt. It was enjoyable enough, I'm sure with more time it could be polished up but live and learn! That's what we're here for :D

I think you should add more clear objective and feedback of the game. Like sound of a successful hit or enemies that are getting closer to you. Also more content would be great.

Thank you for the review! Yes, I believe the feedback of the sword swing is essential to make the gameplay better, and will take note of that for more physical combat game series in the future! Content-wise, I'm not that creative but I figure I could think something up for the next project/game jam.

Lacking in player feedback for example sometimes when I attack I am unsure if I landed a hit or when can I use frenzy attack cause sometimes I can activate it and sometimes I cannot. Wish there like an enemy health bar on them to tell me how many more hits they need to take before dying. Confusing game objective too not sure am I suppose to stay near the chest to steal gold or go around slaying enemies not sure how to tell my progress in the level/game.

The only thing missing would be that it has no sound when you hit the enemies, but in general, pretty good game!

I had a hard time knowing if I was doing damage to the enemies but the game looks amazing! the textures go together nicely and the frenzy attack is lowkey crazy. Good game keep up the good work!

Thank you for the review! Yes, it seems like the line trace hitbox is troubling for gameplay. We wanted to change the damage mechanics to a mesh collision on the sword, but we didn't really find the time to do it. We will take this feedback into our future games, however!

The effects are really pretty, but the gameplay seemed to have a massive bug preventing progress. I could not figure out how to actually deal damage consistently in this game, as there is little to no feedback for where my attack is and if I'm dealing damage. Either the sword hitbox is too small or the enemy hurtbox is. As far as I played, you can't deal damage and move at the same time, and the enemies have much bigger attacks than you. Most of the time, you can't deal damage without getting hit yourself. I think this needed some more testing to find the right balance.

Yes, we did not conduct much testing, and only tested until we managed to win the game. It seems that it may be very frustrating gameplay-wise. We will take this feedback into our future games however, and thank you for trying it out!
