Good concept for the game! The game feels tough, as you are constantly on the lookout for spikes. The controls needed to be sorted out, and the game needs more sound and particle effects.

The cutscene at the beginning of the game is actually really great and the game feels large too with multiple areas to go to and environments to explore giving it that hollow knight/metroidvania style look and gameplay which is pretty impressive.

Some criticism I have with the game is almost entirely with the controls which just don't feel smooth or super enjoyable to use. The dash, wall climb, and double jump all have some jank to them that make them a little hard and confusing to use. Maybe fixing some of the bugs, add polish, animations, and adding things such as jump buffering and coyote time could help with this problem.

Very Nice!! Although the gameplay could be a little better.. I mean it's good but it could use some polishing :)

Nice concept! :D
The game has a really nice intro and dialogue! The visual also really nice to create an ominous feeling and atmosphere into it!
The one I had an issue with is the control. It felt somewhat clunky. I'd suggest to polished it again, give the movement some impactful feedback whenever the player is doing actions such as jumping or dashing (dashing especially, I surprised it was only the sprite blinking and changing place XD), maybe try adding VFX or more impactful SFX. I'm sure it'd feel much better!
Overall, the game has a lot of potential of being a good platformer game! :D

Thank you so much for the detailed review! The story is inspired by a short Novel i began writing years ago. We will make sure to learn more about animation, sound and coding for our next projects! :)

Really cool game, reminded me of hollow knight

This is a really cool game, it would have been really helpful if the dash ability had a bit of an animation to make it easier to allign yourself when using it. Otherwise very hollow knight-y and very cool

Developer

Thank you for the review! We'll make sure to learn and work more on our next games animation and controls!

This game is beautiful and I love the music and story! I'm getting some Hollow Knight vibes here for sure.

Quite challenging but not so much that you get discouraged. It seems like the sprint functionality was a bit buggy, and the intro scene was a tad bit disorienting with the constant blinking; apart from those minor issues, I was very impressed. Well done!

Hey there! Thank you so much for your feedback! As this is our first game, it means a lot. I'll be sure to check out your game too!

What I like:

  •  Atmosphere
  • Cutting scene
  • Graphics Tilemap/Character

What can be improved:

  • More SFX (death, rocks, grass, land, wall jump, etc..)
  • Repair Dash: only works on the right, and most of the time do not work.
  • Be able to see spike before it's too late.

Overlall that was pleasant to play. To be honest, the gameplay is a bit too classic, but if it's your first game then you can be proud of you, this game has charm.

Cool story and very beautiful graphics! Wall grabbing is awesome 😎

I miss the checkpoints because sometimes collision areas quite unforgiving and at times the character movement might feel clunky. 😅

And for some reason I can dash only to the right 🤷‍♂️

Thank you so much for the comments and feedback. We'll make sure to implement these for our next creations! Cheers!
