Would be cool if camera would cull or dither objects near it so you can see your character better. Also enemy markers would be helpful. Better AI is a key to improve your combat: make some enemies cowards so they would keep distance, make some enemies agile so they would make an attack on you and quickly dash away, make some enemies weak, fast and attack only in groups, so they would circle around your player so they can cosplay matrix scene. Overall good job, keep up the work, make more games!
This is a really cute game project! I always love a good top down action / adventure game, so it really appealed to me in that sense.
I had a bit of trouble with the hitboxes in the game - it sometimes felt like I was fighting against the terrain to be able to hit any of the enemies properly.
It's also very funny to hear the bean character's footsteps as they glide across the stage haha.

I got the audio to work off stream! I liked the upgrade system, although I felt myself wishing that all of the upgrades were as interesting as the fire trail. Intentional or not, I really really liked the enemies stacking on top of each other, it was fun little "feature".

I am very interested in how you programmed the weapon to rotate around your character, I am programming a game where I need to figure that little part out. I think this game has potential, It was hard to navigate and find things because of the limited field of view and the trees would often get in the way, the weapon and mechanics were impressive tho!
I like the combat system! I think the game could use some work on graphics and UI though, but nice game in general, good job!
A great foundation for what could become a really exciting action roguelike! Hope to see ya polish up the rough corners, throw in some impactful attack feedbacks, speed up the pace of gameplay, then give the audio/music department some love as well!
The game is fun, the combat is good. Some polish will really make it stand out.
Good combat, it was a lot of fun.
I think the camera could be zoomed out a little more. More graphics and polish would really help this game out. Also, some music was much needed. Could turn into something really interesting.
I had so much fun playing this game. it was so unique. one problem I kept facing was clicking a power up while finishing fighting the last guy. I also wasn't sure if the power ups were working or not. but great game overall good job.
Some more notifications as to whats happening EG sounds or indicators for powerups. Other than that well done on creating all from scratch for this jam!

Some feedback: I couldn't tell if the powerups were doing anything or not. maybe have number popups when you lifsteal (+2 Hp) and i didnt notice anything visually when i selected fire trail
And maybe add Music
