Great game! Very unique game mechanics and it's probably the first 3D third-person game I played on this jam that had normal controls (no oversensitivity or weird angles), so kudos for that! ^^

cool game! I really liked the clean and neat setting! enjoyed playing it!

Thanks TEP! Glad you enjoyed our game ^^

Great game, really stands out due to its setting and narrative :3

Thank you voya! Appreciate your feedback. :)

Incredible game, congrats for creating something that complete in such a short time !

Some little feedbacks in no particular order:

  • If you go to quickly in your first green memory while not-Glados is still making their speech about memories color etc, the dr voice and the artificial voice will overlap in a quite inaudible way

  • The puzzle with the hexagon to open the micorwave was nice, but it would be better imo if the hexagon you receive was the same colour and had the same pattern as the other hexagon

I saddly had to stop shortly after finding the logical and creative memories, but I’ll try to come back and finish the game soon

Thanks etienner for the very in-depth review! Had to laugh when I read "not-Glados". xD Don't worry if you couldn't finish the game. :)

However, if you come back to it, take a look at the comments, there are many guides in there ^^

I was looking forward to trying this, but I can't seem to download it.

What is this supposed to run on, and do you have a windows version?

Thanks.

(1 edit) (+1)

Hey! This is supposed to run on Windows. I don't know what the problem is? Could you please clarify? Be sure to download the latest version of the game (aka Hotfix2) :)

Submitted(+1)

That's the version I'm trying to download. I keep getting the error "Cannot read property 'build' of undefined".

I'm also trying to download it via the desktop app, rather than the browser site, in case that's causing the issue.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it.

I see, that is indeed a very confusing problem. I don't know if I'm able to help you any further, so I'm going to relay this information to our Unity dev.

This game gave me total portal vibes going from chamber to chamber. this game is really well built. i was a little confused about what to do. i also noticed a bug where if you stood still the purple sphere would noclip through the player and i could walk around to all the memories without touching the crystals. otherwise it was a great game.

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback Huhweewi! The bug with the sphere has been fixed in the latest version of the game (aka Hotfix2). Glad you enjoyed our game :)

This game was super ambitious for a game jam, and from what I saw of it you did an amazing job! The story was captivating and made me want to keep playing. I did find the pace quite slow as it was mostly walking between nodes and looking for objects, and I eventually stopped playing when I got overwhelmed with the options. I see there's a cheat sheet in the comments so hopefully I'll be able to come back later and play through the whole thing more efficiently.

Also I thought the "brain world" was very cool, definitely what I would imagine it would be like to be in someone's psyche.

Thanks a lot burd for the informative review! We do get it a lot, that the options are overwhelming, though you should be able to finish the game in an hour or two without any guides or help.

Other than that I'm glad you enjoyed our game :) Hope you'll give it another shot soon.

This is definitely one of the best games made in this game jam! Very impressive work and amazing job on the design and concept!

Really glad you liked our game :)

Fantastic Story!

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. I love the portal-esc style chosen with the intro!
  2. Gameplay felt intuitive!
  3. Visuals were great! The post processing was a perfect addition!
  4. STORY WAS AMAZING!

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. All I noticed is when you have your camera in a certain angle you can clip your head through walls.

Overall 📓

Very well made game! This one is very impressive! I am surprised you got all of this story within one week! Because its very well done!

Glad I could give it!

I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on this incredible game! The depth and complexity of the storyline truly captivated me throughout my gaming experience. Kudos to the remarkable musical development team; their work greatly enriched the immersive atmosphere.

One suggestion that I believe could enhance the gameplay further is the implementation of a dynamic mapping system. The map will show where the player went as the player explores so that the game is less confusing (and maybe even show where certain items are located).

Oh, and also, if anybody gets confused, here's a cheat sheet I made on stream from help of one of the devs (it's not 100% complete however but it's still very helpful):

It was fun watching you play our game! It definitely gave us a lot of insight in how to form our future games! :)

Very impressive and by my opinion one of the best made games of this entire jam. Voice acting was good, the graphics looked good and the idea overall was great.

Very happy you liked our game evan! Glad you enjoyed it ^^

Really impressed with what you've achieved in just 7 days!

Your take on the game's theme adds an exciting sense of adventure,
The graphics and audio, while not mind-blowing, do the job well and enhance the overall experience.

We wanted to make travelling through the memories feel like an adventure, so I'm glad we got that aspect right ^^
Thanks for the feedback Zmadness! :)

Developer

Thanks to all for playing the game! The game was made by me, TheNoGamer and Jutamusic with voice acting from Jutamusic, Sabrina K. and Elena K.
Here is a walkthrough if you get stuck, as the game is quite long and the puzzles can be a bit tedious:

The idea is fun, and the story seem interesting. The puzzles is a bit confusing, and stopped when I no longer had any idea what to do. Overall an interesting and fun little jam game. Well done.

if you haven't seen we did a walkthrough for it if you want to enjoy the story you can watch it or play it again and look at the walkthrough if you get stuck but anyway we are glad you enjoyed it so far!!

I am impressed at how much of a game you manage to do in one week, it looks basically finished.

Sadly I couldn't finished it. It turnd out too tedious searching for the places for were to use my items. I played for like an hour, but the last 20 minutes were me with a pillow, an orange keycard and a lock, searching for something to give me a little progress. I would suggest firslty to get rid of the dead ends with no memories, and also get rid of the unnecesary points (places were there was no memories nor intersections) so that is easier for the player to remember where they are . And lastly to make the map traversal easier or faster.

I'm sad cause I really, really wanted to get through the entire game, but the tediousness of the exploration made me quit.

Thanks lugia for playing our game and giving us a full review! :) We really wanted to make the User Experience better, but in the end we ran out of time. I'm impressed you got as far as to the lock, which is basically the 7/8 through the game. Glad you enjoyed it as long as you did. :)

really happy to hear your thoughts if you still want to get through or just see the story, there is a walkthrough on youtube

Love it, reminds me of karlson, Love the dissolve shader tho

This is an incredibly interesting and fun game. The puzzles are intriguing and I really wanted to learn more about the story. Very good for a game made in one week!

Submitted(+2)

oh hey, we have similar ideas!

love how the game looks. got a little portal vibes, probably because of robo voice and lab environment. i got stuck in a first memory though (room with computers) :(
picked up the key, but the door won't open. is it where the game ends or i'm just a dummy?

(1 edit)

oh man haha you need to put the key in the hole on the box on top of the table where you can find a keycard to open the door!

Submitted (1 edit)

ok i'm a dummy then lol

(+1)

just try to find out on how to solve what because after all it's a puzzle game and sometimes the solution is a bit more complicated you actually need to go out of some memories again and come back to them later just as a hint
