Man the game looks good. I really love art, and together with the shaders it looks amazing. The level design felt a aimless, with a lot of wandering around, and seemingly random enemy placement. I get that it's supposed to feel a bit like a maze, but I still feel it could be better. I love the overall vibe of the game though!

The game started to feel repetitive towards the end - same environment, same mechanics, same enemies, same music. I think the game didn't really need to be that long. Also, at first it wasn't obvious I was supposed to go somewhere - the initial location looked like a closed off game map and I almost quit the game after fiddling with the plant mechanics. Others have mentioned already how awkward it felt to move towards the camera.

On the bright side, I really liked unique and complex, yet intuitive mechanics. The visuals were great too!

A neat start to a game! I wandered around killing bugs for awhile which was fun. Is there more to it?

I felt like the static camera angle made navigation a bit difficult when you needed to move toward the camera. An over the shoulder cam angle would be nice to have it rotate and follow based on the direction (but I’m assuming because of the Paper Mario style art it wouldn’t make sense).

The music was nice at first but became a little annoying after 10 minutes of wandering around. A few more sound effects would be nice too, drinking water, getting hit, etc.

Overall a really nice little game! I’d be interested to see it developed further and given some puzzles / more to do.

Great job!

I played the web version as I'm not on Windows.

Despite the obvious issues it's a pretty good effort although I couldn't get away from the bugs and sometimes they just disappeared. Projectiles to give a clearer hint of fire direction would be useful!

Added Web Version of same build so that someone might try the game. Some shaders broke on WebGL but the game is playable.
