ALSO, just so everyone knows, the background is a black square with transparency over a white square, and since the rules said transparency is okay at the code level I'm pretty sure it still counts as 2 colors

I am a sucker for penguins, and this was a delight!

I really enjoyed it. I loved the physics character controller and found the mechanic to be very cool. I did find the controls to be a little strange sometimes, like I think I was playing with arrow keys until the climbing part but it didn't seem to work and had to switch to wasd to climb. Also had some glitches where it wouldn't let me move from spawning, but overall very cool.

Since I didn't submit my game from my profile it doesn't show it in this comment but could you please check out the one I worked on if you have time: https://itch.io/jam/black-and-white-jam-8/rate/1483089

Quite a fun puzzle, smooth movement, catchy music!
I like that you went with penguins to reinforce the black/white theme as well.
But what i really liked is the way you introduce mechanics and systems with short/quick tutorial like levels that force you to deal with learning, especially the 2nd level, that helps explain the sun/moon loop
(wasnt sure if its classified as 3 colors with the gray background or if its more because of the transparent buttons / shading in the menu. but benefit of the doubt applies. )

Thanks for the feedback! The background is a completely black image with alpha transparency on top of a completely white background just to add contrast, so I'm hoping that's fine by the rules lmao
