How does your game represent Mode?
Machine Terror represents Mode through power states. To defend against the machines, the player can temporarily transform into a monster, where they are invincible to damage and will destroy any machine they touch. When the player is not in Bigmode, they must play more cautiously to avoid getting hit by the murderous machines.

I found it interesting how the robots could destroy trees giving new pathways for movement and being able to plant new trees that turn into power ups was cool too. It took me some time to get 1000 points but once you get the hang of it's not that hard. Nice entry.
Nice pacman-style gameplay with a cool twist of planting seeds to grow the power pallets. After a certain point, the machines did seem to just wander around outer edges of the screen, making it a bit too easy to just linger in the center, but the gameplay up to that point was some classic fun!
Felt like a unique take on Pac Man and some Atari-likes. Didn’t expect the robots to make such sudden turns, but a few rounds got me used enough to juke them. Nice job!
This is about as hard as real reforestation. XD
I was happy to see that you also made a game about collecting bananas lol
Props for implementing BIGMODE.
Kinda wish it didn't stop me at 1000, I had some more machines to stomp all over! The concept makes my little ecologist heart happy, and it was challenging enough to keep me engaged which is nice for a simple game like this one. I thought some indicator of enemy movement might be useful because I had a few times where they just turned on a dime and crushed me, but that's okay, it added to the challenge :D Well done!
Very fun game! At the start I really struggled to survive more than 10 seconds but once I'd been playing for a while then it actually got pretty easy which I think is the sign of a fair but challenging game. I think you had a perfect balance of simplicity and interest, with the planting mechanic giving you a goal other than running away.
The only thing I found a bit odd was that the enemies move faster than you which makes it seem impossible to escape them at times. If the enemies moved at the same speed as the player I think it would feel a bit more fair.
Overall though, great job!
Interesting take on the pacman-type gameplay! Speed felt a bit too slow but nothing too bad. If you can make the the movement a bit smoother and add just a little bit of sfx it could make a fine arcade game.
This was cool! Felt like one of those old arcade games, had a good time trying to preserve the forest with that lovely frog protagonist. Nice work!
nice small game, i think post jam it'd be nice to have some progression like more enemies spawning and more bananas spawning over time
it did feel like the enemies took down more trees than i was ever able to plant, and i think just making more bananas spawn over time would help with this
