How does your game represent Mode?
I was thinking about gun firing modes, and how it would be interesting if a gun's mode was that it never stopped firing, but you also couldn’t change its direction.

this was pretty great. testament to the sheer bonkers amount of good games released for this jam that I dind't even notice this until now.

I love the premise of playing as a psychic gunslinger doggo, I just wish the enemies I was killing weren't also dogomorps, killing doggos makes me sad. Gameplay's real solid, good sound and feedback on the guns, really like the game over music. I wish there was any way to make the move speed a little faster, like an upgrade or something, you're very sluggish. Collision of enemies with the player felt wonky and feedback is very unclear on when you're being damaged/hit by an enemy. Felt like sometimes I could pretty much just run through enemies and other times I was just suddenly dead. But I'll play more of this if I find the time, I'm late to the party and just starting to see how Vampire Survivors-like/"bullet heaven" games can be addictive.

Thanks for the feedback. I started working on the game again to make a full version, and the first thing I did was increase player speed haha. I also totally see what you mean about killing dogs being sad, it definitely is. I tried to make it as cartoony and comedic as possible but yeah cute dogs shouldn't be the enemies. That's something I want to work on, maybe I'll make the enemies some sort of robot or something. If you have any ideas for that I'd love to hear it.

I could probably provide not just several ideas but also point to some neat potential sprites for 'em, if you want. Oh, and this just occurred to me, but actually being able to toggle the firing mode (in the more technical sense, I'm a bit of a gun enthusiast) of the weapons would be swell, like you could toggle the SMG between Semi-Auto, Burst Fire, and Full Auto, for instance, although that might be tricky to program the controls for.

heck yeah, if you have anything send it my way

I liked all the guns you get. Shoot shoot. I think the dog should be a little faster. It feels really slow to move around right now.

This is great fun, the set firing angle is a clever twist that adds a lot of tactical play to the formula. I'd love to see this fleshed out with more work on the balancing, the exp disappearing after a while makes sense when you reach the late game but it make it very difficult to gain momentum in the early game, especially with the speed being as close as it is to the enemy speed. It would be good to add some kind of scaling so that enemy speed and exp time start lower and built to the current level as the run progresses. It would also be nice to have a bit more feedback when getting hit. Overall though this is fantastic, well done!

a lot of genuine fun. I couldn't put it down for a while. I think the premise is pretty interesting, and definitely makes for a fun time, but there are a few design decisions that feel like that are mostly to the game's detriment. For instance having the mine dog being impossible to outrun makes trying to kill them really frustrating, and once they get within range of my gun (which happens a lot) I'm pretty much dead.

Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it! That’s good feedback, I did some last minute balancing stuff to make them harder and I think I went too far, good to know!

Exquisite game.

i love how simply fun this game is. It's really satisfying to take out an entire hoard of enemies with a grenade launcher

This was super fun! A clever twist on the genre and I liked the graphics and music. Eventually getting a huge ring of guns felt like good progression, but the early game was fun too because of how I had to think about where my one gun was shooting and position myself based on it. The usage of the theme is stretched a little thin, but that's really my only criticism. Great job!

I would be grateful if you checked out my submission as well.

That was fun, the gun staying locked in position made for a fun challenge, doubly so at the very beginning
