The rules allow for editing of the description, but linking off to updated builds, effectively bypassing the submission deadline might not be totally above board. Might want to get some clarification from the organizers about that.

I'd like to check this out. It looks super cute. But I'm on a mac. I don't mind building from source (actually this would be preferred, I'm not really about running a bunch of random executable files) but it looks I'm out of luck there.

Developer

Oh I may have gotten something wrong...

The new build doesn't fix anything of significance really by the way

I'm counting on the fair play of the people, only rate the actual game (as in the one that I managed to submit before the deadline)

Definitely an important message

Also I was dead tired when they extended the deadline so I am a bit upset too

Developer

Although if I am disqualified, so be it :')

Developer

Updated the Itch IO page to tell people not to rate the release :)

I like it, it's a cute little game that was made in a very short time, you can be proud. I'd lobe the upgrades to be incorporated into the game so I don't have to navigate menus, but ui in bevy is a hassle.

Great work!

Great and fun game, with good progression and a fun, yet strong message in support of the environment. 5/5

After some fiddling, we got it to work and I just love that shark. Lots of games with flock / boid mechanics and I like the idea of a shark swimming around with a shoal of fish to control. Really liked the shark, I was a shark kid back when... I was a kid. And now. Anyways, reminds me of a game I made myself for a previous libGDX jam (in the look of the shark, nothing else).

Here's my ole game:

I couldn't play the new windows release, I just got some weird path access error. Shame, I'd love to give it a go. Share the repo and I will build it locally on my strange machine!

Talk to you in Discord :)

Could you share your code repo for this game? I can’t play your build and would like to try it

Developer

I'll do it soon :)

You can find a LINUX build here,

Tell me if it works please :)

I would prefer to look at the source before running a binary. And one of the “soft” rule of the jam is to have your code open sourced.

Hi, you're including a lot of unnecessary files in the archive (build folder, deps folder), that's why it's so big.

Developer

I am aware... I can't change the entry though :(

Fixed in the Github!

Very cute :) I'm not really sure what was going on but I thought the lil shark and squeezing thought the gap at the end of each level was a cute animation. I slept on agility for way too long but when I eventually got agility 1 I realized how useful it was and the immediately grabbed agility 2 when it was available. I couldn't get past the level where you just spawn in a big room and enemies keep spawning in, I'm not sure if there even is anything after that, kinda seemed like a last stand sort of deal?

Cute and fun game. I only wish the fish would swim faster, they couldn't keep up with me in the end lol. Also I would occasionally get stuck in corners

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

The room you are speaking of is the boss room, I encourage you to beat it! I believe in you :)!

Incredibly cute little game idea I haven't played before. Fun to command a big school of fish and slowly get bigger and snowball into things. A few minor rough areas, but overall, a nice little entry.
