Sadly crashed when sped up with Cheat Engine x20 times, otherwise great fun!
Finally crashed for me at ~2:37:00 with
thread 'Compute Task Pool (1)' panicked at 'index out of bounds: the len is 100 but the index is 100', src\hivemind\field_systems.rs:80:32
I'm still not really sure what's going on in this game. At some point it seemed like my bees really wanted to go attack the hivemind or something, so I let them in. But I think they were just janking out trying to get back home because they just bunched up again.
Later in the game bees seemed to start teleporting.
This is one of the games that I played the longest though, and it seems like a great showcase for Bevy.
This is amazing. Bees are hypnotizing. I'd say this game has great potential.
The technicity behind this game is amazing! I really like the style and gameplay! (I may grab some of your code for my next project thanks ^^)
Really cool. I got to 2:09:00 and counting. Seems like you cannot lose? I got into a cycle where the circuit AI would not ever go to the top and all my hives had massive lines to there and I kept spawning enough flowers to keep them busy forever. It's very fun to look at the swarm form lines and look around for resources.
Oh no! That is quite hilarious and unintended for the robot to get stuck. I guess the player has the unfair advantage all along
Looks very cool. I do like the swarm behaviors. Wish there was a little bit more to see but otherwise great.
totally agree - I ended up spending way too much time on the systems and ai such that we had to cut a lot of our ideas for gameplay.
Definitely hoping to return to this at some point and finish it, thanks for playing!
Nice to see a RTS in the jam. I was unsure of what was the unfair advantage though. Maybe add a bit to the description?
Hi,
Thanks so much for checking it out
The main thematic idea was that the 'robots' who spawn a minute or so into the game are basically unstoppable - growing exponentially and consuming all the resources on the map. I'll definitely add a blurb to the description, thanks!
