Great game! However I think you should tell the player what the items in the store are at least called. Also this game was surprisingly addicting to play. Great game!

I gotta say, I'm a sucker for stores in a game! Went through and bought every upgrade and made it to the floor that keys cost 140. Surprisingly addicting for me!
What were the red upgrades for? I bought a bunch of them before they were gone from the store but never could figure out what they did.

I like the concept and the soundtrack!
I really struggled to kill the bats :') I feel like in these types of games the player should feel powerful for a little bit at the start to make them know what they're missing if/when the enemies get harder.
To help with this feeling of power you can also make your gun have more impact, maybe with particles and screenshake etc.

Yes, the game is much more playable now, but... ehm... changing a game jam game after the deadline but before the voting has ended seems kinda against the spirit of the jam, no?
I'm new to game jam. I just read the rules there is nothing that would interfere with a small update.
But thank you I'll keep this in mind in the future!
I second the power up for the gun. That would be cool and require the least amount of additional stuff. At least to make it more accurate if not more powerful. Otherwise its a nice explore-em up.

I really like the soundtrack. I found myself humming the tune after just a few minutes. Unfortunately, the colour palette is very monotonous and that combined with the abundance of diagonal pixels makes the art style very hard to love. I feel like every enemy has a little too much health. I also can't for the life of me understand why you'd want to buy bat wings. Is there some hidden use to them that I wasn't told? I feel like the shop could have benefitted from power-ups for your gun.
I will update the store later. For now, trading is only needed to buy keys and move to a new level.

Nice game The gameplay can feel a bit slow at times but the procedural generation is a really cool feature! :)
