Roguelike Elements
Each round, there is a different board size, where each tile can be one of 3 variants. The enemy placement is randomized. Plus, when each round starts, you get an upgrade to your pieces of your choosing.

Very interesting concept, would love to see it developed further :)

Chill game, interesting design :) The AI doesn't really know how to play, though, haha. Was winning rounds by charging a single super-powered pawn into the opponents backrank. On a few occasions, the opponent tossed their only remaining piece to die in a pit. I think it would be more fun with a smarter opponent, but the core idea is fun. Well done!

totally agree with the ai being dumb- I wish I had time to work on it a bit more, such as avoiding holes in the board
