I found this game to be strangely relaxing. Something about the sound of the waves and the little bell and the simple animations made me very calmed. I don't know. It's so simple, and yet I really did enjoy this game. Like, I can't even really fully explain why. It's just fun, and cute, and simple. Easy to pick up. 221 is my current high score but I'll keep working at it.
Really liked the ship and the rest of visuals. The audio also made the experience pretty immersive. The audio feedback for when anchor is available is also great. Also liked that it's a pirate ship and not some regular boring ship. Btw was there any particular reason for making it a pirate ship?
It's a really nice and relaxing experience - Just the sounds of the waves, the creaking ship, and the bell after a catch. The graphics also lend to this feeling of pleasant simplicity.
The gameplay is easy to catch onto after a few clicks. I like that the timer starts only when the first catch has occurred as it gives you the chance to make that first haul count by waiting for a large cluster of fish.
I like that the boat's position is slightly affected by the waves. A potential chance to add variance could be to have the amount of ocean that is visible be affected by vastly higher and lower waves. Another potential improvement is to have a basic scoring system and have the fish be worth different amounts based on size.
I really appreciate how simple and straightforward this is. It's a proper zen game to me, no big obstacles, you can throw out your anchor as much as you like and can collect a whole bunch of fish in one go. Not sure if relaxation was the vibe you were going for here but I found this game to be exceedingly relaxing
I realised this while I was making it how it was relaxing to even just watch the fish swim ! I might add an 'aquarium mode' :D Also I nearly added a sort of a minigame where big fish would chase/eat smaller ones lol (maybe I still will)
I would never think of fishing with an anchor, it feels good when the anchor returns full and the amount of fishes in screen is awesome, my best was 221, you could add something that shouldnt be fished like a bomb that explodes and throw some fishes back to the. Good job.

I might add a leaderboard in the future. I'm not sure how high is reasonable - but I've seen over 300 !
Highest score 224.

Well, somehow I was thinking it would be pirates using anchors to fish :D
Also it was convenient from one of the Kenney packs I used.
