Initial cutscene was great, I love the meme u put there when we learn to use shift. I love how you use the theme well done!

wow! that was a really great pla former with a twist as you say :) you managed to implement something other people did but way way better, and it all comes down to level design.
the level design was fantastic!!! level 3 and up really shines on that, and the difficulty ramp up is also great, design wise.
The art was also simple and fun, not too hard on the eyes.
The only thing i would change is the jumping speed, its super slow, and its the first time i really see a good usage for different heights when u leap up from standing, or jump to a certain direction, really works in this game!
Good job to the entire group!!
Please play/rate my game too :)
The pace is slow and the puzzles do get better slowly over time... It'd been awesome if the game also followed the intro art style and added some elements from Into the Spiderverse movie where Miles dives upside down. That'd been a LOT more fun to play. Great puzzle game tho.
The slow pace of the game is a very interesting decision, it made for a really unique experience that made your game stand apart from other similar controlling two characters simultaneously type games. I wasn't sure how to feel about it at first, but as the game got deeper that slow pace got quite satisfying to play as. I think it made for a very immersive atmosphere when coupled with the visuals which were stunning in their simplicity.
I think with the slower walking pace though, shorter levels are always gonna be more welcome since the player would have to put in more leg work whenever they'd fail a longer level. Very interesting in both concept and execution I enjoyed this a lot!
Nice!! With the level of artistry displayed in the opening cinematic, it's almost hard to believe this is your first jam!
The jumping felt a little awkward at times, but only cause you stopped dead in your tracks after a long jump. But I did really like having the two kinds of jumps.
When I started playing, I assumed that there would be a level in which you have to intentionally desynchronize the two sides to make it past a series of jumps, and I'm a little disappointed you never did that! It feels like a lost opportunity for some really clever puzzles, but oh well. Next time!
I will admit - and maybe I just don't get it - but I found the gameplay and the narrative to be a little disconnected from each other. It felt weird to go from an obvious suicide story, to a simple platformer, and then go straight back to a flatline. If the platformer section had more dark or depressing elements, it wouldn't feel so weird. But I genuinely forgot about the upsetting narrative because of how fast it seemingly went away.
Thanks for creating, I enjoyed this one.
Really nice animations! Loved the title screen you guys had as well as the intro cutscene. The main gimmick of having to control two characters works very well, and really fits the theme! If I were to nitpick, the characters' movements were a bit odd, but I eventually got used to it. Nice job!
I tried the game, but this is what I'm seeing after the opening cut-scene. I can press buttons and hear something is happening, but the screen stays this way
Edit: This is only happening on Firefox, with Chrome the game works
For me the winner, very good, reminds me of the early 90s games. Too bad color cant be done in this jam.
