Unsure, because we break the engine when updating it to UPR Shader. So hmmmmm

It's a fun and unique puzzle game 👍

There are some issues here and there (weird control scheme, occasional soft locks, this 👇) but they are quite tolerable (except for the inverted camera control literally makes the game unplayable /jk)

Also the music is nice! Very relaxing and good for the vibe of this game.

Developer

It's a ghost pillar, duh, all intentional nothing to see here.

Thank you for playing, the feedback is much appreciated. Unfortunately we're a bit busy right now for substantial control / camera updates, hopefully we'll find the time to do it in the near future.

Super cool! I like the background music and toon shader.

Developer

Glad you like it :)

An intuitive puzzle game! It can definitely be improved further -

- You can add interaction sounds (which can really bring life to the game)

- For some reason, I didn't see the controls inside the game and had to check on the game page. And an interactive tutorial would be great for explaining the mechanics.

- It felt weird that the cubes could only be moved in one axis without any clear explanation or indication of why.

Good game with potential :D

- That's a good suggestion, we're missing a sound for the grab / release action on the cube. Will be added in future versions.

- We were a little short on time for a full interactive tutorial, I tried to make some of the levels very tutorial-like in order to compensate. Will add in an in game control list too for convenience.

- I can see some people being confused, we could add arrows to the cubes once you grab on on to them to indicate directions.

Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it.

Yeah, these changes would make the game much much better. Looking forward to it! Good luck :D

I really enjoy the puzzle mechanics and the aesthetics of the toon shader. overall, great game!

I just have some minor bugs to report, like falling from a bridge-like section into the light or going out of the shadow when rotating the camera angle.

great work! keep going!

Happy to hear you liked it. Thanks for the bug reports, it's very helpful, we'll try to reproduce and fix it.

One of the most unique puzzle games I have played in this jam. The idea of climbing on blocks and pushing them around are both used really well to create some interesting puzzles. I did encounter a small bug that caused me to push a block into another block and fall out of the map, couldn't really recreate it though. Overall, nice work!

Developer

Thanks for reporting the bug. We did come across the bug during testing too but weren't able to consistently reproduce it. It is on the list of bugs to fix but it might take a while because of that. Glad to hear you enjoyed the game.

To me, this is an incredible combination of game mechanics that has a lot of potential. I really hope you consider turning this into a more polished version, or even a full game.

Though this version felt a little off.  The camera didn't feel good to use, it was capping the rotation speed for the mouse controls, making it feel like it was meant for a controller. It was also inverted to what I was use to. The movement and actions were a bit sticky, and I was able to clip the boxes through each in some instances (like the last level with the offset blocks).  The art was simple and maybe a bit empty, but was clear in what each set of blocks could do. I thought the music was nice and fitting for the game.

Some people complained that the camera was hard to control when the rotation speed was capped higher. It's hard to hit the sweet spot where it is neither sluggish or hard to control. As for inversion, we can definitely add an option to the settings. We're very likely going to change the camera entirely in future versions, the big problem is this camera is centered around the player; it creates a lot of problems for a 3D puzzle game with complex shapes.

We're also in the process of trying to fix the movement bugs.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, we appreciate it a lot!

It's usually better to have a sensitivity setting for the mouse. Most people who use keyboard/mouse really don't like that sort of restriction, but it could just be a setting.

One thing that could probably help with player visibility is a shader that shows the player through obstacles. Maybe inverts the color of pixels where the player would be rendered. Getting a little complicated, the edges of the nearby walkable boundaries could be rendered in a similar way as well.

Two good suggestions, will try to work it into future versions. I'll need to check with the art and programming side on the feasibility of the visibility shader, we still haven't fully ironed out some of the bugs in the core game mechanics. Thank you for the feedback once again.

Fascinating game that makes perfect use of the 1-bit graphics! Great Work!

Developer

Thank for comment you also have a interesting 1-bit game there :)

The progression of the difficulty is great and the puzzles felt very satisfying to solve. I really like the 3D models, everything fit together so well. The music is also quite relaxing and fits the game well.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play, much appreciated.

ever so slightly buggy but very dreamy calming game, i felt like i was unwinding my brain doing those puzzles, thank u

Developer

Unfortunately we couldn't fix all the bugs in time, we're happy we got the base game through the door for submissions. I hope the bugs weren't too frustrating. Thank you for playing!

One of the most unique games I've seen in this jam. I really like the mechanic of lining up shadows to reach a goal. If I were to give one nitpick, the camera controls are a little hard to control with a mouse. Other than that, really great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback on the camera controls, we're working to improve it right now.  I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!

Finished the game. Overall solid design. Gameplay was intuitive to pick up, the art is simple but nice, and the music was super relaxing. Great work!
