That solo player was impressive! However, I usually use "W" for jumping instead of "Z." It might be helpful to include a tutorial option that explains the barrel and healing mechanics. Also, I prefer using health points rather than a health bar.

Developer

thanks for your feedback on my game.

sorry for the jump key tho, maybe ill considere on that.
unfortunately i didn't have enough time for tutorial :<
you got good point on health, maybe ill use that on my future game, however its lack flexibility it change player max health

thanks again for your points on that :>

I love the visual aspect of the game!
The reason I find it difficult to play is the long chain of actions to create a charge.
Pick up the fire, grab the barrel, reach the target, light the fuse, throw the barrel, and run from the blast wave.
This really disrupts my flow for a game about climbing up with a timer.
On the other hand, I appreciate that the barrel mechanic is an attempt to move away from standard projectiles and try something new!
Overall, it’s a good game especially for a first jam!

thank you for your compliment.

i got caught up with the idea of speedrunning using barrel, without knowing how to make it easy to control.

i appreciate your point on that, so ill make the flow more smoothly and easier to control on my next game :>

Nice work on the use of dithering and sound effects! The gameplay is unforgiving, and I'm sure some absolutely love that challenge!

I think music would have leveled up the experience, and it would be fun if you could jump on the boxes (or if they had some physics component).

Fun little game!

ill add music to my future games, if i know how.

Very fun! I LOVE the lighting, as well as the torch and such. I also really liked the game idea, as I almost made the EXACT same thing for my submission but ended up not. :O If I could change one thing though, it is just to add more feedback when you get hit by an enemy, as it is hard to notice sometimes .

i can tell from your game we might almost get the same idea, thank you tho

i'll add screen shake

Cute! Love the art style and the player movement was smooth. I found getting the barrels to ignite a little difficult but it was fun to play.

Developer

thank you, it took me a while for player movement.

and also you need torch for igniting barrels, it can be inconsistent somehow, ill fix it next time

Cool game. Could have used a little music, but the pixel effect for light is really neat!

Developer (2 edits)
