Thanks! This was all in Godot, leveraging their extensive UI theming capabilities.

I had a similar idea when I was brainstorming what game to make, but I was like "I couldn't do that!" so I'm glad you did! I appreciate that each couch cow is unique, and the furniture legs act like animal legs. Cheeky!

Ominous! I liked that the flashlight was needed to highlight the monsters. How do you pick up ammo?

Fun! Played to the end, a nice little game loop. I don't think I've played something like this before! I found with careful turret and barricade placement, you can have a pretty sturdy defense.

I am not a good mushroom farmer. But, I am impressed with your choice of Odin and Raylib! Respect.

I found the game a tad difficult and kept running out of money, but maybe that's because I was gambling too hard on the Boletuses!

Love this one! Lots of personality here. Love that the dialogue changes as the chair monster grows, made me smile! Thanks for this

Very cool game! I'm very impressed that this wasn't created in the typical Godot/Unity duopoly, inspiring! Lots of good mechanics here, and I was blown away the first time I opened the shop to see the vast number of upgrades available.

Well done for such a short amount of time!

Curious concept! Maybe it's a skill issue (or the merge conflict you mention) but I'm not really able to move myself forward! Will have to play when it's updated.

Played this for a lot longer than I thought I would! Never have I clicked on so many chairs before. I think straight axe upgrades are the true meta

Glad to see someone else also went the content / engagement farming angle! I appreciate that if you miss the goal, you can keep playing--perhaps I should have done that in mine. Funny game!

Wow! Very ambitious! Would have been curious to see what it would have looked like with a little more time. I don't think I could have built something this extensive in 2.5 days haha

Cheeky little survivors-like! If you had more time, would have been nice to see more monster and weapon types, or maybe a way to move around the map more!

I can confidently say I've never played anything like this haha. Neat idea!

Fun game! Cute animations, good sound effects, and good catapult feel.  I almost wish there wasn't a pumpkin cooldown so I could fire off as many pumpkins as possible

Interesting! I think the story is spooky, and does leave me wanting to learn more about what's going on. Once you get the hang of how the game works, you can blitz through it pretty quick. Would be curious to see it expanded upon!

A wholesome lemon farming game! Loved the old lady's quips

I was hoping someone would do a chair farming game! I was hoping to be able to spend my money on upgrades, or maybe have a time limit to see how fast I could plant!

Shooting the bugs in the garden to DOOM music was unexpected and gave me a good laugh

There's potential! Definitely calming.

Wow! Very cool game! I was very sucked in.

I love how the game plays with your expectations a bit, and develops a sense of mystery and distrust.

A great feat for your first time programming a game jam game!

Nice work on the use of dithering and sound effects! The gameplay is unforgiving, and I'm sure some absolutely love that challenge!

I think music would have leveled up the experience, and it would be fun if you could jump on the boxes (or if they had some physics component).

Fun little game!

Wow, love the sound and music! Unfortunately, the game was running at like 25% speed in my browser which made it difficult to play, but I think I got the idea.

Very atmospheric!

Hey, thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed the gameplay, I'll be improving that soon when I work on the full version of this concept.

The shader I used was from here: https://github.com/samuelbigos/godot_dither_shader, I forgot to credit this repo on my itch page! I'll change that now. The shader required some tweaks to fit my use-case, and I think I needed to change a couple things for it to work with Godot 4.3. Hope that helps!

Hey thanks! I appreciate that!

Hey stranger! Thanks for playing! Yeah my goal was to give the player a little more autonomy over their loadout / playstyle.

Glad to hear you made it far! Thanks for the feedback, I agree that something like that would be helpful.

Thanks again!

Thanks for saying that! As you may have read elsewhere, I am indeed going to make this a standalone game -- so that is very encouraging to hear!

Thanks so much!

I was wondering if someone would pick up on that -- good eye!

I really enjoyed the landscape art and some of the sprite work!

As others have mentioned, I think a little music and sound effects would go a long way here.

Congrats on submitting!

Wow! I'm impressed by the completeness of animations and attention to details in some areas. The cutscene at the beginning had me very intrigued!

Like others have mentioned, there's some spots that could use a little more refinement to avoid feeling like bugs (for example it took me a while to realize what item I needed to equip before being able to do an action).

Overall, I think it is a good and challenging game.

A game made with LÖVE! What a feat! How did you find using that framework? I've always wanted to try it.

I think you did a great job with the art, and the minigames were a nice surprise and broke the game up well.

It wasn't super clear to me why I needed the items, and I eventually caught on as to what the potions did!

Overall, nicely done!

The premise made me laugh!

Like others have mentioned, I think upping the pacing would do a lot for the game. Also, expanding the map and maybe having pick-ups of different weapons would do wonders as well!

A quirky little game, congrats on your second game jam entry!

Very cool game! Definitely ambitious, I'm impressed with how many mechanics you were able to pack in.

Like others have said, I think the grappling hook could be streamlined a little to increase the pace of gameplay.

However, I think you did a good job here!

P.S. If you enjoy roguelikes, you might enjoy my entry!

Haha hey I'm glad you had fun!

Thank you for your kind words. It's actually a shader over 2d sprites!

Thanks so much!

I appreciate that! I'm a big fan of Vampire Survivors myself -- glad you enjoyed my game!

Very interesting! A _much_ different vibe from many other entries. I see you also made heavy use of dithering as I did with my project! Your resulting art style is very classic and clean.

Just so I understand the goal, is it to carefully eliminate the rooms/blocks so that you can give the ghosts their rest? I tried speed-running the game afterwards by randomly choosing floors and the tower fell over without a game over screen -- so perhaps it is not mean to be played quickly! haha

Oh dear! I've just given it a replay now, much better! I understand the core gameplay loop now, however I may be experiencing another bug there I can't get past the second wave of enemies -- I'm stuck in my tower!

I think there's still lots of potential here.

Very atmospheric! Simple, yet very well executed. I'll be honest, I got a little stuck after I picked up the water, but very cool game still. Nice!

Those are great ideas! Thanks for taking the time to share those.

I like your idea about balancing when you lose floors, I'll have to experiment with that!
