Sadly I wasn't able to go past the main menu. It threw some error at launch about Windows Mixed Reality and it didnt detected any input while in the menu.
The music in menu was nice
Uhh sorry to ear that, have you tried with steamLink or Quest link?? For me Windows Mixed Reality has never worked so I didn't even try, still I'll try to make it work
Ok I changed a setting in the export process and I think the alternative build should work for WMR, try it and let me know if it fixed the issue, thanks!
I'm kind of sad that I couldn't manage to launch it (it closes right after the logo is shown), but from the screenshots and the full gameplay video you shared on the page, I can tell how MUCH time and effort you put into it. There's a LOT of mechanics, and the fact that it's a VR game made for a 2-week game jam is incredible) I also really liked the shader - it’s so good that I had to doublecheck if it's 1-bit, but it really is)
Thank you so much for the revieww! So you tried to launch it with a VR headset connected and it didn't launch? Can you tell me what headset you own? I think there are some problems with the exported version but we don't know why
I've tried it with oculus quest 2 via steamLink and steamVR. Maybe it have something todo with recent steamLink update.
When I tried to launch it - steamVR correctly catches it and shows that mini "Next Up" window "Babel Ascent ". But it loads like ~5 seconds and then just closes itself.
Maybe it would be better to add some crash logs output in game folder if possible to pinpoint an issue.

The graphics in this game are absolutely stunning! Even without VR gear, I could tell how much work went into creating a visually immersive experience. The atmosphere and style really pull you in, and I can imagine how much more intense it would be in VR. Great job on the art and design!
Thank you so much for leaving a review. Yeah the time we spent tweaking the shaders really paid out I think. Also a great part of the immersion is given by the amazing music and sound effects my teammates cooked, we are really happy someone enjoyed it!

same the art is incredible and i do have vr gear but im traumatized of using it after my incident with my vr game
