My players and I used Ex Novo to generate the island city our Monster of the Week game takes place it. It worked out great. It was a lot of fun to all draw on the same canvas and we ended up with some really interesting stories as a result of random pulls (such as the island having a huge boar population which dropped off due to overhunting, only to suddenly come back en masse in one of the final rolls of the game).
