Beautifully made, poignant game with an awesome framing device. The immersive environment made me really feel like I *am* this uncertain trans girl finding good things through internet fandom and toxic dynamics with an asshole best friend and gaslighting RL "best friend".
I got some warm fuzzies from how much it felt like a throwback to my own adolescence in early internet fandom, and the added layers of Alex's gender (as I'm cis), and her stressful relationships with the people in her offline life (mine weren't nearly so stressful), made me nervous and uncertain... like her. I really enjoyed playing through this story, even though certain exchanges were tenuous. And I was so into Alex's story. that I wrote fanfiction for a fictional anime in the game! That says a LOT of good about how immersive it is. By the end of the game, I felt a sense of triumph even though the game's end isn't truly the end of Alex's story... because I know she'll figure it out.
