A self-described smorgasbord of "the best bits" of the Powered By The Apocalypse framework, Weird Weird West is a rules-light, cinematic Western RPG, easily adaptable to any of its subgenres.
Its closest cousin in this regard is Dungeon World, providing a thematic skeleton while leaving the substance in the players' hands. Even in alpha, Tom's playbooks and move descriptions are evocative but not restrictive.
WWW eschews Dungeon World's damage dice, however, opting to resolve all conflict in the fiction. It supplements this with a trauma pyramid, where players can easily visualize their characters' mounting wounds. Suiting its genre, combat moves quickly from one dramatic beat to another, similar to games like Masks.
All in all, a very promising and very savvy game which fills a big gap in the current PBTA space. I look forward to seeing its continuing development!
