I really like where this combat system is going - the parry/crit mechanic and the MP draw are some nice twists on the Battle Network-type combat. I also really like the windups on certain enemy and player attacks, though I can't really explain why...
The super detailed pixel art of the character and enemies are nice, and I like how the menus look, but currently the two seem to mix in a way that feels slightly incongruous. They feel like they're from two different games, maybe?? Not really sure how to describe it, but I'm willing to chalk that up to the game being super early on in development.
