Wanderhome is a beautifully written poem about roleplaying games in a hopeful, adventurous world. Interestingly, my first read-through left me wanting for pre-built scenarios and conflicts and thinking "How could this book give me so little?" But after a day away from it I couldn't stop thinking about all of the possibilities, and how the scenario ideas live inside of the character playbooks, Natures, and even within the seasons and holidays that are presented! The token-based rules-lite mechanics are intrinsically tied into the ideas presented in the game and yet exist on a separate "layer" that makes it easy to port literally everything from this game to other games and systems. It's incredible! I've since used the seasons and Natures to help build moody D&D hexcrawls, inform a post apocalyptic campaign's ancient ruins, and flesh out hideouts for heroes and villains in a supers campaign!
