I left a long review in the "Comments" on the main page, so please see those for more detail. Nightcrawlers is a well-designed game, built on the Black Hack engine but well-tuned for a new genre and style of play; the layout is a solid "A," with each two-page spread containing the complete rules for that component of the game - combat, equipment, etc; the art is fantastic and cohesive, all being the product of a single artist; and the many many random tables are well-chosen and full of thematic creativity. I've run one tight one-shot with it so far, leaning heavily on the random tables, and the players (who are only familiar with D&D and Pathfinder) found it simple to use and were able to create great, flavorful, fun-to-play (and fun-to-watch) characters in a short time without my help. The session was fun, exciting, slightly spooky, thematic, and pacey. My group is excited to play again. Thank you for this great RPG! I think it will be my go-to recommendation for urban fantasy for a very long time.
