EDIT - I just wanted to say I noticed you put up rules for pacing the ending of the game and I really like those. I think it helps the game to have those and appreciate you taking my feedback under advisement. As such, I bumped the rating up to 4 star :)
Unfortunately, my experience with the game was not great. I went in with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement for this title after we exchanged email messages, but after playing and simulating several games after that, the game has an issue in length and pacing which I found frustrating. Some minor formatting niggles as well, but I don't hold those strongly against the title (minor complaint).
There's a great foundation here, and I wish the project all the success, but in its current state I can not give A Visit to San Sibilia more than 3/5 stars. I enjoy the visual appeal of the rulebook and the simplicity of the game, but I just can't get into how wildly random each game ends up feeling, which can result in skewed stories that don't really have a sense of cohesion or direction.
I'll post a public facing comment along with a link to my full review on my blog which goes into far greater detail with my experience. As always, I still wish you the best with this project, sorry it wasn't ultimately for me, but I can see many are enjoying it regardless of my thoughts so take heart in that. Thank you again for reaching out and for providing me a review copy too.
