Buy this book. Seriously, do it. Ethnically diverse cast with no bullshit, two main female leads are trans (one of whom is both a lesbian AND the most powerful human alive, not exaggerating bc this fact drives the entire plot), and the author straight up invented a third gender for this book, complete with consistent language and pronouns. If you enjoyed the strategy and war documentary nature of books like The Human Reach series, I promise you this book will blow everything else out of the water. Farscape, Mass Effect, and Star Wars have been utterly left in the dust by the utter care, research, and wit that goes into every line in this book. Seriously, buy it. I bought this in a bundle and I’m giving the author money anyway bc it is THAT damn good,
