very different story from ep. 1 but i think i liked this one even more! storytelling and background through the brief flash-forwards of richard writing the letter were effective in throwing me into the setting and creating an atmosphere of frantic dread (but of what?) without giving too much exposition/context at once. i also really appreciated richard's warm and familiar interactions with madison, which pretty much instantly gave him likability and motivation to return home safe- and also provided a show of humanity that contrasted well with the end scene and made it hit harder.
also, thanks for the indicators/labels for interactables! ep. 1 took me a while to figure out because i was hovering over every pixel to see what i could and couldn't click. overall, nothing i didn't like about this! if there's an ep. 3 in the future, i'm looking forward to it!
