I ADORE this game. The characters are really relatable and the writing could actually work by itself as a decent work of fiction, but together with the interactivity, and the well-designed branching options, the art, the music and the voice acting... the result is amazing and I love it.

The game is also pretty inclusive and diverse, because there's people of many different ethnicities and with different personalities, and you can also make choices according to several personality types, none of them presented in a negative light. You can also customize your character, play as nonbinary and romance characters of any gender (or none at all, if you don't wish for romance).

There's discussion in-game on many different aspects of videogames and esports, in a very inclusive and thoughtful manner, and representation of many sectors of the videogame industry/community: from game developers, to hardware maintainers/tinkerers, artists, professional gamers, casual gamers, cosplayers... This is a game about games.

I acquired Arcade Spirits through the Bundle of Racial Justice and Equality, but I think it's worth its full price, and I definitely plan on buying the sequel/expansion when it comes out.

Would totally recommend. In fact, I have already recommended it to several of my friends.
