Biim_Games rated Deeper Down Dungeons

Biim_Games rated a game 5 years ago
A downloadable game for Windows.

I am reviewing the mobile version here because I couldn't write everything on Google play due to the characters limitations:

"Great game, above my expectations!

I have been suggested to try this game and while normally I don't play on mobile, I am enjoying to play the game.

I love fantasy and strategic games, especially if turn-based. This game has more meaningful choices you can image.

While the battle and exploration system are quite simple to learn and use, they still offer a good variety of options. You can advance through the dungeon with merely brute force in melee combat, you can collect scrolls and kill the majority of the enemies with magic or you can use a different approach and trying to avoid the combat and play more in a "stealthy" way to go deeper in the dungeon just to collect treasure.

It's nice to have a few shops that in addition to offer help, can be upgraded to get more benefits.
The Alchemist provides potions that can be used during exploration and battles, the Blacksmith improves your weapon and shield, the Hunter offers coins for a specific amount of killed enemies and finally, the Wizard, let you customise your character with talents that offer a good variety of combos.

It's easy to understand how to play the game, but even though the more you play the more you discover how different layers of strategy can be applied to your game.

Even how the shield is used in combat changes a lot the battle result, the limitation of not be able to bring back from the dungeon the scrolls, force you to try to don't waste them and while you use them many different strategies comes in your mind. Some levels have special benefits of limitation like can't use potions, or scroll and that let you reinvent your tactics on the fly.

Another nice touch in the game that deserves a mention are mini-games, there are a nice variety of mini-games in form of treasure that will break the game monotony spicing up the feeling to get a reward to be good in something, sometimes it's a skill game, sometimes a knowledge game. Prizes are worth the mini-games and don't make them annoying but they are on the contrary very welcomed.

There are many more things to talk about but I am not sure how many people are reading until this point and I will leave you the rest to be discovered.

Finally, without annoying ads, it's definitely worth to pay the price for this game. You will find yourself playing it every time you have a bit of spare time like on the train or waiting for your turn during an appointment."
