Dan 3 is one of the most brilliant shmups of the decade. Quite a polished package that plays very smooth and controls are tight. This game has multiple difficulty options that make for an accessible but fair challenge at any skill level (great beginner's bullethell shmup). The game ost (by blankfield) provides a high quality sound experience.

For those familiar with shooting games, this is similar to a standard Cave game in design, length, and unforgiving-ness. Any shmup fan should own dan 3, though the higher end skill levels are going to challenge movement precision more than memorization or reflexes.
