From Film To Code rated ESTIGMA [Extended Edition]

A downloadable game for Windows.

One of these games that you start, you like everything but there is only Hard mode available. Used to play them hundreds of hours when I was a kid but nowadays I have lost the patience.

The art is really nice and bizarre, the sounds are arcadey wacky and the music matches the gameplay pace.
The mechanics are solid too, there is variety on what you have to do and the SHIFT running is set just right so that you can misstep easily and die, feeling that it was your controlling mistake not some shortcut.

Your character is a fun little creature that you can make him chirp which is great to feel for him while he is trying to escape the intestines.
When you beat a few stages and think the next stage will be just the same but more complex map, the game introduces new tasks, mechanics, enemies and designs !!

The timer makes sense to be there, but it is fast. Or it was fast for me.

That was before I went on the forum and thought that it wouldn't hurt to ask if they have any update plans for the game, like adding an Easy mode by slowing the timer (removing it would break the mechanics).  Which they got to it right away! And it works great. It's still fun, you still die a lot and in the end feels like a good progression stage to the Normal mode.

5/5
Will get lost in the intestines again.
