The central mechanic is pretty neat, but this is such a frustratingly centrist game. If you criticize the nation's leadership, there are violent riots and looting (which is... not how any of that works). If you report on murders at all, you support the police (despite them disappearing your brother?). If you support globalism over nationalism, you also support a WalMart analogue(???) Even more frustrating, your coworker is still worried about how she'll afford her medical care even if national health care passes. The game seems more interested in being a perverse genie than actually thinking about how your coverage might affect the world.

The walking and apartment-decorating segments could be snipped out and the game would not only lose nothing but be improved. I really wish they had been.

Overall, this is such an interesting kernel of a game, and I wish I liked the execution enough to recommend it.
